He married Elizabeth Bandy. Elizabeth was born Bedford, Virginia June 15, 1799. At 34 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of James Francesway Jared Breckenbridge County, Kentucky, May 20, 1834.

At 38 years of age John became the father of James Francesway Jared Breckenbridge County, Kentucky, May 20, 1834.

John Jared and Elizabeth Bandy had the following child:
