He married Lydia Stokes. Lydia became the mother of Sarah Haines Northhampton Township, Burlington County, New Jersey, July 15, 1737. Lydia became the mother of Lydia Haines Burlington County, New Jersey, June 19, 1745.

Samuel became the father of Sarah Haines Northhampton Township, Burlington County, New Jersey, July 15, 1737. Samuel became the father of Lydia Haines Burlington County, New Jersey, June 19, 1745.

Samuel Haines and Lydia Stokes had the following children:

child 2 i. Sarah2 Haines was born Northhampton Township, Burlington County, New Jersey July 15, 1737. She married Caleb Newbold abt. 1751. Caleb was born Springfield, Burlington County, New Jersey March 16, 1732. Caleb was the son of Thomas Newbold and Edith Coates. Caleb died March 1786 Springfield, Burlington County, New Jersey, at 53 years of age. At 50 years of age Caleb became the father of Hannah Newbold Springfield, Burlington County, New Jersey, June 23, 1782. (See Caleb Newbold for the continuation of this line.)

At 44 years of age Sarah became the mother of Hannah Newbold Springfield, Burlington County, New Jersey, June 23, 1782.

child 3 ii. Lydia Haines was born Burlington County, New Jersey June 19, 1745. Lydia died Feb. 1, 1795 New Hanover Township, Burlington County, New Jersey, at 49 years of age. She married Thomas Hollinshead Evesham, Burlington County, New Jersey, April 26, 1764. Thomas was born April 28, 1739. Thomas was the son of Hugh Hollinshead Sr. and Anna Eves. Thomas died Sept. 13, 1820 at 81 years of age.
