He married Phebe Jewell abt. 1890. Phebe was born abt. 1865. At 26 years of age Phebe became the mother of Mary Cordelia Groves Paola, Miami County, Kansas, Feb. 20, 1892. At 26 years of age Phebe became the mother of Claire Groves Paola, Miami County, Kansas, Feb. 20, 1892. At 28 years of age Phebe became the mother of Agnes Groves Paola, Miami County, Kansas, Nov. 13, 1893. At 42 years of age Phebe became the mother of Addie A. Groves Paola, Miami County, Kansas, Nov. 8, 1907.

At 27 years of age Henry became the father of Mary Cordelia Groves Paola, Miami County, Kansas, Feb. 20, 1892. At 27 years of age Henry became the father of Claire Groves Paola, Miami County, Kansas, Feb. 20, 1892. At 29 years of age Henry became the father of Agnes Groves Paola, Miami County, Kansas, Nov. 13, 1893. At 43 years of age Henry became the father of Addie A. Groves Paola, Miami County, Kansas, Nov. 8, 1907.

Henry Groves and Phebe Jewell had the following children:

2 i. Mary Cordelia² Groves⁽¹⁰⁷⁾ was born Paola, Miami County, Kansas Feb. 20, 1892. Mary died June 11, 1987 Falls City, Richardson County, Nebraska, at 95 years of age. Her body was interred June 14, 1987 Rulo, Richardson County, Nebraska, Rulo Cemetery. She married John Morton Sommerville Coalgate, Coal County, Oklahoma, July 4, 1910. John was born Denison, Grayson County, Texas abt. 1872. John⁽¹⁰⁸⁾ was the son of John Sommerville and Sally Anne Watson. John died Dec. 26, 1923 Booker, Texas, at 51 years of age. His body was interred Dec. 27, 1923 Booker, Texas, Heart Cemetery. At 35 years of age John became the father of Rosa Lee Sommerville Coalgate, Coal County, Oklahoma, Feb. 9, 1908. At 37 years of age John became the father of Sally Rebecca Sommerville Coalgate, Coal County, Oklahoma, Sept. 6, 1909. At 39 years of age John became the father of John Alviah Sommerville Coalgate, Coal County, Oklahoma, May 26, 1912. (See John Morton Sommerville for the continuation of this line.)

At 20 years of age Mary became the mother of John Alviah Sommerville Coalgate, Coal County, Oklahoma, May 26, 1912.

3 ii. Claire Groves was born Paola, Miami County, Kansas Feb. 20, 1892.

4 iii. Agnes Groves was born Paola, Miami County, Kansas Nov. 13, 1893. Agnes died Jan. 18, 2006 Cozad, Nebraska, at 112 years of age. She married John Michael Callahan abt. 1917. John was born Doylestown, Pennsylvania Jan. 23, 1892. John was the son of Andrew J. Callahan and Agnes Roney. John died April 22, 1946 at 54 years of age. At 23 years of age John became the father of Helen Jane Callahan Kansas, July 9, 1915. At 25 years of age John became the father of Aloysires Melvina Callahan Kansas, March 31, 1917. At 26 years of age John became the father of Jacquelene M. Callahan Kansas, Nov. 1, 1918. At 29 years of age John became the father of Jack Herman Callahan Kansas, July 16, 1921. At 31 years of age John became the father of Yvonne Claire Callahan Nov. 11, 1923. At 34 years of age John became the father of Faire Adeline Callahan Nov. 21, 1926. 5 iv. Addie A. Groves⁽¹⁰⁹⁾ was born Paola, Miami County, Kansas Nov. 8, 1907. Addie died Feb. 6, 1994 Portageville, New Madrid County, Missouri, at 86 years of age. She married Raymond Stokes abt. 1926. Raymond was born Oct. 16, 1898. Raymond died Feb. 1969 Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, at 70 years of age.
