1. Thomas Alexander¹ Farrens was born Clearmont, Missouri Jan. 30, 1869. Thomas died July 4, 1947 Lewellen, Nebraska, at 78 years of age.

He married Emma Elizabeth "Lizzie" Kellogg 1896. Emma was born Wyoming, Stark County, Illinois Jan. 28, 1879. Emma was the daughter of James Ammi Kellogg and Harriet Almeda Shoemaker. Emma died March 14, 1963 Nebraska City, Nebraska, at 84 years of age. At 18 years of age Emma became the mother of Nola Olive Farrens Hopkins, Nodaway County, Missouri, March 7, 1897. At 21 years of age Emma became the mother of Iva Almeda Farrens Clearmont, Missouri, June 10, 1900.

At 28 years of age Thomas became the father of Nola Olive Farrens Hopkins, Nodaway County, Missouri, March 7, 1897. At 31 years of age Thomas became the father of Iva Almeda Farrens Clearmont, Missouri, June 10, 1900.

Thomas Alexander Farrens and Emma Elizabeth "Lizzie" Kellogg had the following children:

2 i. Clyde² Farrens.

3 ii. Nola Olive Farrens was born Hopkins, Nodaway County, Missouri March 7, 1897.

4 iii. Iva Almeda Farrens was born Clearmont, Missouri June 10, 1900.
