1. James Preston¹ Bell⁽²⁶⁾ was born Franklin County, Virginia Jan. 22, 1838. James died May 13, 1909 Grayson County, Texas, at 71 years of age. His body was interred aft. May 13, 1909 Grayson County, Texas, Fairview Cemetery.

He married Esther Elizabeth "Bettie" Ramsey Honey Grove, Fannin County, Texas, Dec. 26, 1872. Esther was born Pittsylvania County, Virginia Aug. 23, 1851. Esther⁽²⁷⁾ was the daughter of John Ziegler Ramsey and Sarah Ann Wright. Esther died Aug. 20, 1927 Grayson County, Texas, at 75 years of age. Her body was interred aft. Aug. 20, 1927 Grayson County, Texas, Fairview Cemetery. At 23 years of age Esther became the mother of Lola Montez Bell Denison, Grayson County, Texas, Sept. 19, 1874. At 26 years of age Esther became the mother of Lida Ethel Bell Denison, Grayson County, Texas, June 3, 1878.

At 36 years of age James became the father of Lola Montez Bell Denison, Grayson County, Texas, Sept. 19, 1874. At 40 years of age James became the father of Lida Ethel Bell Denison, Grayson County, Texas, June 3, 1878.

James Preston Bell and Esther Elizabeth "Bettie" Ramsey had the following children:

2 i. Lola Montez² Bell⁽²⁸⁾ was born Denison, Grayson County, Texas Sept. 19, 1874. Lola died April 12, 1959 Denison, Grayson County, Texas, at 84 years of age. Her body was interred aft. April 12, 1959 Denison, Grayson County, Texas, Fairview Cemetery. She married Dr. Madison Mills White Denison, Grayson County, Texas, June 3, 1894. Dr. was born Denison, Grayson County, Texas April 12, 1865. Dr. died Feb. 10, 1929 Denison, Grayson County, Texas, at 63 years of age. His body was interred aft. Feb. 10, 1929 Denison, Grayson County, Texas, Fairview Cemetery. At 30 years of age Dr. became the father of Clarence White Denison, Grayson County, Texas, Nov. 22, 1895. At 32 years of age Dr. became the father of Harold Preston White Denison, Grayson County, Texas, June 6, 1897. At 41 years of age Dr. became the father of Esther Lida White Denison, Grayson County, Texas, June 30, 1906. At 45 years of age Dr. became the father of Maxine Elizabeth White Oct. 17, 1910. At 21 years of age Lola became the mother of Clarence White Denison, Grayson County, Texas, Nov. 22, 1895. At 22 years of age Lola became the mother of Harold Preston White Denison, Grayson County, Texas, June 6, 1897. At 31 years of age Lola became the mother of Esther Lida White Denison, Grayson County, Texas, June 30, 1906. At 36 years of age Lola became the mother of Maxine Elizabeth White Oct. 17, 1910.

3 ii. Lida Ethel Bell was born Denison, Grayson County, Texas June 3, 1878. Lida died Feb. 9, 1970 Austin, Travis County, Texas, at 91 years of age. Her body was interred aft. Feb. 9, 1970 Denison, Grayson County, Texas, Fairview Cemetery. She married Floyd Ligon Norton Sr. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Aug. 17, 1908. Floyd was born abt. 1876. Floyd died Feb. 8, 1954 Denison, Grayson County, Texas, at 77 years of age. His body was interred aft. Feb. 8, 1954 Denison, Grayson County, Texas, Fairview Cemetery. At 40 years of age Floyd became the father of Faye Norton Jan. 31, 1917. (See Floyd Ligon Norton Sr. for the continuation of this line.)

At 38 years of age Lida became the mother of Faye Norton Jan. 31, 1917.
