1. Nathan¹ Capen was born Massachusetts abt. 1785.

He married Mary B. Jepherson abt. 1813. Mary became the mother of Minerva J. Capen 1827.

At 42 years of age Nathan became the father of Minerva J. Capen 1827.

Nathan Capen and Mary B. Jepherson had the following child:

2 i. Minerva J.² Capen was born 1827. She married Newman Allen Goshen, Addison County, Vermont, Jan. 27, 1846. Newman was born Goshen, Addison County, Vermont Oct. 3, 1821. Newman was the son of Noah Allen and Sophia Grandy. Newman died March 15, 1886 Goshen, Addison County, Vermont, at 64 years of age.
