He married Mary Marie Truitt Jamestown, Colorado, Jan. 28, 1880. Mary was born Stark County, Illinois Feb. 10, 1864. Mary was the daughter of James Alexander Truitt and Prudence Ann Drake. Mary died July 30, 1920 Jamestown, Boulder County, Colorado, at 56 years of age. Her body was interred Boulder County, Colorado, Niwot Cemetery. At 25 years of age Mary became the mother of Cora E. Bruning Jamestown, Boulder County, Colorado, Sept. 18, 1889.
