My father served on HMAS Hobart as a telegraphist during World War II and over the past couple of years I have been trying to piece together his war history. Following his time on the Hobart he served ashore as a petty officer at HMAS Coonawarra at Darwin NT and later in New Guinea at Finschafen and Madang till his discharge in 1946.
