This is my new fire safety page please take time and read all my tips!
1st I want to tell you how to test your smoke detectors
this is the perfect time to check your
smoke detector, push and hold down
the test button on your detector if you here it go off
that is a good sign if you do not here it I recommend replacing
the batteries then test again if you still have a problem
with it not sounding you might want to replace it
     with a new detector.
Remember test all your detectors in your house. This is
also a good time to replace the batteries in all of your
detectors cause you do not want to suddenly find out
that you forgot your batteries and be left homeless or
      worse.

ok now we need to talk about fire extinguisher's
There are 3 types of extinguishers
the 1st is the  class A this one is for
 wood/paper fires
The 2nd is the class B this one is for
flamable fuel fires
the 3rd is class C this one is for
electrical fires

now that we know types we got
lets talk about how to use one.
to put out fires safely!!!
PLEASE REMEMBER
THEY ARE NOT TOYS
IF THEY ARE USED IMPROPERLY
THEY CAN
KILL OR SERIOUSLY
HURT SOMEONE

this is what we call the pass method

pull pin

aim at base of fire

squeeze

sweep from left to right at the base of the fire try to push the fire into a corner to smother the fire out

When used properly, fire extinguishers can
save lives and property by extinguishing or
containing small fires. Do remember these
points though:
The operator must know how to operate the
extinguisher. Directions can't be read during
an emergency.
The extinguisher must be within easy reach,
working order, and fully charged.
The extinguisher should be placed by all exit
so the escape route is not blocked by the fire.
Be sure the extinguisher is the right class for
the fire. Water extinguishers can not be used
on Class B and C fires.
The extinguisher should be large enough.
Some can discharge in as few as eight
seconds.
