A Little About Me
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. On 23 June 1973 I left the Chicago area when I married Chuck. Chuck and I moved to the Maryland/Washinton DC area. Chuck was in the Air Force and stationed at Andrews Air Force Base. Our oldest biological daughter, Tina, was born on 7 June 1977 at Andrews Air Force Base. My husband was discharged in August of 1977, this is when we moved to Union City, Tennessee. My youngest biological daughter, Trina, was born in Union City on 28 December 1982. Our oldest daughter, who was adopted August 1992, was born in Martin, Tennessee on 2 February 1976.
I have been fighting an illness since 1983. It is Lupus and is an autoimmune disease. Here is a link to my story. Lupus
Being from Chicago I'm a BIG Chicago Cubs Fan. Just think about how loyal we Cub fans are! They always have a standing room only crowd, whether they are winning or losing. Go Cubs!

I was a Red Cross volunteer with the Obion County Chapter in Union City. I enjoyed being a Red Cross volunteer. I helped to get the Red Cross office on the internet and files into the new computer. I volunteered for 3 years and had to leave due to my health. Red Cross is always looking for volunteers! There are different areas such as Disaster, Armed Forces Emergency Services (AFES), and Health & Safety. Here are some explainations of these areas:
Diaster - This is tornadoes, floods, hurricanes, single family fires and earthquakes. We help with feeding the victims. Also help with shelter and personal items.
AFES - We help locate military personnel when there is a death in the family, if military loans are needed to help get back to base, or help get extended leave if necessary.
Health & Safety - Red Cross offers CPR classes, First Aid Classes and various others. Also train people to teach CPR and First Aid classes.
