What We Are

What We Are

God inspired me to start this group to give teens a place to get Godly advice and feeding for their daily lives. We send out a daily devotion on any given scripture and try to relate how it applies to your life, and what you can do to walk a little more like Jesus. We send out weekly studies to get you thinking more in depth about the Bible and different issues it touches on, and how to strengthen your walk. We keep a log of the different things we talk about in the daily devotions and the weekly studies on the web page so you can go back to them anytime you want to. Most of the work on that end is done by us.

The next part requires your participation. We lift up prayer requests in a couple of different ways. Whenever anyone sends in a prayer request, we send it out to the group and also to some other prayer chains we are a part of. When you read the daily devotions we ask that you meditate on what it says and ask God how it applies to you. Because the group is so large there will be days that it does not have much to do with your walk, and on other days, it should really move you into action or prayer. If you do not get anything out of the devotional, we ask that you pray and read the Bible yourself to get something from God. We all have room for improvement and daily talks with God and submission to His Word are the best ways to grow closer to Him.

When you see the prayer requests at the bottom of the devotion we ask that you lift them up to God and earnestly pray for the people and situations mentioned. Also involved in prayer on your behalf is our Prayer Teams. On your prayer day, your team members all pray for each other personally and also for the Internet Youth Group. Phillip prays on Monday for each of you individually during his prayer time on Monday also. Each day of the week has a separate prayer team. All of this praying is designed to bring you closer to God and learn to intercede for yourself and for others. It will also give you the chance to see miracles happening in others lives. We ask that you communicate with the others in your group and find out what is going on in their lives, to aid you in aiming your prayers better for them.

We also have communication partners. Your partner is a volunteer that is responsible for 4 people, yourself included. He/She and you should develop a close relationship and accountability. He/She is to write you personally about 2 times a week and make sure your walk is going well. To find out how you are doing with school, friendships, parents, all sorts of things. If he/she gets a prayer request from you, they send it to us and we will spread the word about your prayer need and lift it up as much as possible. He/she is someone you can vent to and confide in. They are Godly people and will seek Gods Words for you, they will be your friend who will not judge or condemn you, but help you with your struggles in life and celebrate your victories.

Through all of this we hope that you will have an accountability partner in your communcation partner, friends in your peer group from the Prayer Team, a strong prayer life through daily prayer and intense weekly prayer, a growth in your walk with Jesus through daily devotions and a growing understanding and knowledge of the Bible through weekly studies.
