The Supertones bring an upbeat, fun attitude to hard rock and Ska music. With
blaring horns they spice their sounds, and their clear gospel message refuses
to be ignored.
This is the renowned DC Talk. They are currently on their Supernatural tour.
They have many awards to their name and are one of the few bands that cross
over to the secular music realm with much success as shown by "Jesus Freak". We
went to the Supernatural concert, which they did a wonderful show at, and also
saw Jennifer Knapp, and The W's (not pictured here).
Small Town Poets. Hitting both the Christian and Secular arena with a smooth
Beatles sound.
Rebecca St. James is a talented young artist with a heart for God. She has two
rather new albums, one is entitled Pray, and the other God. She has also
released a wonderful Christmas album a couple years back that still hits the
top 20 every year with "Little Drummer Boy". She has a solid rock sound with
great rhythm and vocals.
Jennifer Knapp uses a lot of bass and is a rather hard rocker. She has
mastered a couple of different styles which provide a nice contrast to her
sounds.
Audio Adrenaline is good soul rock, the stuff your mom can't stand but your dad
likes, even though he won't admit it. They will let you listen to this stuff
though if you show them the lyric sheet.
Nichole Nordeman
The Newsboys have a fresh upbeat sound to their music. Some of their better
known songs are "Spirit Thing" and "Take Me to Your Leader". They are good
party and dance artists with lots of spiritual leading and gifts.
Jars of Clay is best known by "Flood", a song featured in the movie Hard Rain.
Their latest album, Much Afraid is spiritually subtle, but slightly uplifting.
Carman has a ministry unlike any other. He performs rock, rap, country, R&B,
gospel and drama. He will have something you like as a master of music
and rhythm.
Kathy Tricolli is a mature woman of God whom is also a great performer. She
has a smooth laid back sound that moves with God at a level that only a very
in-touch with God person may have. She is clearly in love with Jesus and is a
cornerstone for all women, young and old alike, to look to for assurance that
you can make it through anything!
Margaret Becker, kindly known as Maggie B., is known for her great concerts
which tend to bring many people to Christ. She sings a good mix of
contemporary music and has many albums to her name.
Michelle Tumes is a new artist on the USA front. She is from Australia and
brings over a great accent to her music. She is young a upbeat with her music
while keeping a deeply spiritual feel to her songs. She could be classified
Rock with a good portion of her sounds. She is great in discussions and I am
sure would be a blast live.
The Late Great Rich Mullins. Rich Mullins passed away about a year ago and has
left a legacy that is still standing strong. Many bands got together after his
death and re-recorded a some of his music to create a musical tribute to him.
DC Talk was one of the groups. Rich Mullins is known best for his song
"Awesome God", quite possibly the best known Christian song in existence.
Sierra. Three ladies with a great attitude.
Twila Paris is a rather new and unique addition to the Contemporary Christian
scene. She has come over from the Secular to the Christian charts and is
moving from a strong country to a contemporary sound.
