The relationship of the Berg family to the Hitt family is through the marriage of Margaret Jane Berg and Earl J. Hitt, a ninth
generation descendant of Peter Hitt the 1714 immigrant to Germanna.
Jacob Berg was born about 1848 in Adenbach, Bayern, Germany (Adenbach may also be located in Baden, Germany). Jacob, his
wife and oldest daughter immigrated to America between 1869 and 1872 and settled in Pennsylvania.
Research todate has not found the parents of Jacob Berg or his wife.
