2. Samuel² GORDON (Alexander¹)⁽²⁾ was born in Northeast Scotland 1783.⁽³⁾ Samuel died 1878 in Henderson County, North Carolina.⁽⁴⁾

He married Mary STATON. Mary was born in Virginia 1786.⁽⁵⁾ She was the daughter of Benjamin Staton. Occupation: Seamstress 1860 in Greenville County, South Carolina.

Occupation: Saddle Maker in Fork Creek, Henderson County, North Carolina.

Samuel GORDON and Mary STATON had the following children:

+ 3 i. Alson³ GORDON was born abt 1823.

4 ii. John GORDON was born in South Carolina abt 1831.⁽⁶⁾

5 iii. Anderson GORDON.

6 iv. Lousia GORDON.

7 v. James GORDON.

+ 8 vi. Benjamin GORDON was born abt 1805.⁽⁷⁾

9 vii. Samuel, Jr. GORDON.
