My DUNN ancestor is Alexander Dunn of SC. Alexander served in the Revolution. One source states "He served as a lieutenant and captain of the Little River Co. of Militia and he provided rations." Another source lists him as one of Capt. Joseph Richardson's men under the command of Col. Samuel Denny with whom he went to Claverack on the Hudson for 3 months service. In a book, History of Pike Co., GA , it states that Alexander was from Rutherford Co., a captain of a South Carolina Militia.
