Duke really didn't like people he never bit anyone now he loves to get his loving. Daisy has always loved people. They treated her right. Daisy l ves to wrestle. Duke and Daisy are 3 years old. She has the run of the house now and also goes out by herself when weather permits. She has excavated a huge hole. Befo e she could go out she used to chew holes in furniture. Does anyone know a distasteful flavor that she may not want to chew? Bitter orange or apple have not worked. She's a real sweetheart and I just want her to be safe and content. |

Bill Carnes - 05/10/98 20:32:25 | Comments: Greetings on behalf of my family's pet prairie dog, Lester. Lester is a male black tailed prairie dog purchased as a pump four years ago. He has been the most delightful, "interactive" pet I've ever known, and I've owned many dogs, cats, birds, fish, chipmunks, frogs, rabbits, etc. Lester has acquired many aliases since we've had him, most as a result of his behaviors. He is known as Lester the Love Sponge, Arrpah Dog, Diggy Toes, and many others. My son and I even have a prairie dog greeting which involves emulating some of Lester's behaviors, such as digging with his front paws, packing with his nose, pushing with his front paws, throwing his front paws up in the air while barking. Of course, if anyone outside our family observed this greeting we'd probably be shipped off to an asylum! Anyway, good to find a site dedicated to our favorite creature.
