WELCOME TO THE IDEAS & HELP PAGE!
Here you will find links to sites with ideas & help in scrapbooking. And even a few of my ideas, or ones I borrowed from friends!

I shop on Ebay for some of my scrapbooking supplies. I warn you if you are going to shop on Ebay, know your prices! For example the regular strap hinge albums sold by Creative Memories for a 12 x 12 album are only 38.00 in the catalog. I have seen these sell for as much as 50.00. You can also get the same type album at Michaels for 14.95, on sale. The complete cutting system, with all the blades, circles, ovals, and mat is around 51.00 through a CM consultant. Also watch your sticker prices, you can usually pick them up cheaper online or even in your local shop. When you add in the shipping and all you could buy 2 of them for the price you pay. I bought a page topper on Ebay, thinking I was getting a good price. I paid 1.50 including shipping, come to find out I could get it for .50 online. I have also seen things on ebay that you can get free just for having a party. So why not invite your friends over, and get something for free along with having fun. Besides we all need to get a friend addicted for it to be alot of fun! So please be careful when shopping auctions.

Check out all the sites for free paper piecings patterns, it is much less expensive to make them yourself. I learned from 2 scrapbook lists I am on that you can use just about any picture as a pattern. Some use Tole books, Cross Stitch books, even coloring books so start checking out those tag sales for the books. I have made a couple using cross stitch patterns. I just make a couple copies of the pattern at the library, come home and use those as templates. My best advice is go to yahoogroups and find a good list. These are great places to get ideas, and maybe even meet someone at a crop near you.

TIPS AND TRICKS

I'm still new to this, but I am learning some tricks.
A new one I just learned from a group I am on is:
This works with Strap Hinge Albums

If you have quite a few pages on one event.
You can put your borders on the facing 12x12 pages,
then scrap the pages themselves on 8 1/2 x 11 pages.
Putting the 8 1/2x11 pages right in between the 12x12.
That way you have the borders for that event and all the pictures in between.

Join a scrap booking list, they are so much fun!
