The Wallace and Ford Families

This page is dedicated to the memory of my parents

Charles Edwin Wallace,

Respected, blessed, well-loved and loving

husband,  father, grandfather, great-grandfather,

and pastor to many

And

Norma Gaynelle Ford Wallace

Talented, loving and beloved wife,

mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

I have just begun, so expect more information as I locate it.  Much of the information about my mother’s family comes from my grandfather Ford’s habit of “doodling” in his daily journals.  He wrote in beautiful English script and kept a Whittier Birthday Book that contains information we thought was lost to us.  After my mother’s death, I discovered these things and many photographs of family in an unmarked box in the basement of my parent’s home.  Unfortunately, many of the photographs are unmarked and we may never know who the people were.

I am very fortunate to also have located a gentleman in Germany who has given me considerable help, information, and encouragement in locating my maternal family roots.  Veilen Danke, Hellmut und Rosemarie!

My father’s roots are more difficult to dig out.  With the surname Wallace and the tradition of descendence from William himself, it will be a long road to walk.  Be patient, oh brave hearts, there will be more to come from that side of the family also.

My Family Tree

If you see something about my family tree that interests you, please send me an

I am always searching for family members and would love to hear from you.

This is the Wallace Family Psalm and Norma’s favorite scripture.  I hope you will find the comfort and strength in these words that our family has.

Psalms 91
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.  Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.  He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.  You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.  A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.  You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.  If you make the Most High your dwelling - even the Lord, who is my refuge - then no harm will come near your tent.  For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.  You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.  "Because he loves me", says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.  He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.  With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."

Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
