Subject: Caleb Allen in KY

I am looking for info on this couple. Caleb ALLEN b. Nov 8, 1858 and Rhoda ELAM b. Sept 12, 1858 m. Dec 5, 1878.
Caleb ALLEN's parents were George ALLEN and Celia PATRICK.
Who were Caleb's Siblings? What about his father George - who were his siblings? Looking forward to hearing from anyone who may be connected.
Working backwards from William Allen, born 1767, NC, I found on the 1850 census that his son, John, was born in KY. I have not been able to verify exactly where but I found Allens with similar first names as mine living in Clarke Co., KY in the early 1800s. First names are Josiah, Benjamin, Joseph, John, William, and Lewis. From something I read, I think there is an indication that my Allens came originally from Granville Co., NC. All of this has to be proved.
The Allen's on my tree begin with Elizabeth b.1650 in VA, marr William Bridger; then Joseph b.1776 in Fleming Co., KY his daughter Elizabeth b.1802 marr. Thomas Owen Cawood.
I have a Wilford Allen b. ca 1807-9 someplace in KY. His "suspected" brother is Burl/Burrell Allen b. 1803-9 again
someplace in KY. Burl's mother is Sarah _______ Allen who
died ca 1822 in Ripley Co. Indiana. Father is unknown.
Think a Lucy Allen who md. ca 1829 or so John Colston/Colson in Ripley co is a sister. Merit/Merritt Allen and Montgomery Allen also of Ripley co Indiana are thought to be some kin but unkn. how. We keep searching in Shelby co as there are Montgomery Allen's there but no luck with this family.
This Saturday my son is marrying a girl whose mother's maiden name is Allen. She is from Madisonville, Kentucky and her first name is Sarah. I have just begun work on her line and I think I found her father (Lewis Allen) in the 1920 census. Lewis had 4 sisters and 1 brother at that time and they were:
Margaret, Odaska, Pauline, Slaton, and Cenderella. Lewis' parents were Adrin H. and Addie Allen.
Seeking Edward ALLEN b abt 1850 (where?), father of Thomas Daniel ALLEN b 20 Mar 1785, and Joseph Allen b (when/where?). Thomas' death certificate issued in Louisville KY gives Edward as his father and birth place as Butler, Butler Co, PA. Have not found an Edward or Thomas Allen in Butler Co of the right ages, so those events have not been proven. Thomas married Fahyma Iris WESTFALL abt 1908 in Weston, Lewis Co, WV. They removed to Louisville KY, where Thomas was a piano tuner and musician, and travelled a lot with his job. Thomas died 2 Mar 1931 Louisville KY. After Thomas died, his widow and younger children moved to Clark Co IN, to be with "family" and eventually removed to state of Oregon about 1947-1950. Have found land records in Clark Co IN, but none in KY.
Any help locating/proving correct Edward Allen will be appreciated. Thank you!
I am looking for the Allen family members who went from Virginia into Kentucky. I have found that they came through Middlesboro. There has been a story passed through the family about a shootout with law officers; then a family split. I understand that my line comes through Hudson Allen ,whose
parents were William Allen and Ann Hudson. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Time frame would late 1700 to early 1800.

Looking for information on Samuel Allen b. 1792 in Ky., moved to Scott Co. Illinois and married 1825 to a Margaret. He died about 1855 in Scott Co. Ill. 1744 in Va., died 1-23-1826 in Casey Co, Ky. and Margaret Wohoab are his parents. I recently found another source that a
John and Margaret Allen are his parents.

Nancy ALLEN was born about 1780 in VA?, and married Charles THOMAS on Mar.17,1812, in Adair Co.,KY. The minister was I. Hagen. I have lots of info on the THOMAS line, but nothing on the ALLENs. Charles and Nancy had 6 children and lived in the Russell Co.,KY area. I do not have a death date for either of them.
