When I heard about Remembrance Day I thought of hopes and dreams. Yet, I did not know what it really meant. To fight in the war all day and every night, to know that you might die in one single blast. When I think about Remembrance Day I think about all those souls. Those people that all suffered most young and rarely old. But, then I wonder, was it really worth it for fathers to be pulled away from families? For people to leave their lives behind? Then I remember, those souls were dying for their country. Dying for their freedom. So Remembrance Day isn't just about sorrow, it's about the freedom those soldiers gave to us and why there is tomorrow. |
