JUST FOR YOU

Here is a gift for you. It has your name on it. It's wrapped in beautiful paper
and tied with a lovely bow. This gift is absolutely free to you.
You can't earn it or purchase it, in fact it's been paid for, in full.
But it's not yours yet. To make it yours you must do just one simple thing -
you have to reach out and take it.

If you'd like to know what the gift is, I'll tell you.
It is freedom from sin and the burden of guilt, and eternal life
in Heaven with me. You see, I am Jesus, God's only Son. The wrapping paper is
my blood, which was shed for you. The bow is my body, bruised and broken for you.

Yes, I paid the price for this gift. I paid with my life when I died on the cross in your place.
I now sit in Heaven on the right hand of God the Father where I will intercede
on your behalf, if you accept this gift.

- - - - How to receive your gift - - - -

- - Believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and the only one
who can save you from sin. - -

For God so loved the world (you and me) that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes
to the Father except through me." John 14:6

For there is one God and one mediator between God and men,
the man Jesus Christ. I Timothy 2:5

- - Believe you are a sinner. - -

...just as sin entered the world through one man (Adam), and death
through sin; in this way death came to all men, because
all have sinned... Romans 5:12

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

For the wages (payment) of sin is death, but the gift of God
is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

- - Repent. This means changing your mind about your condition. Now
you agree that you are a sinner and that Jesus suffered and died
on the cross to free you from that sin. - -

God…commands all people everywhere to repent. Acts 17:30

But unless you repent you too will perish. Luke 13:5

- - Ask God to save you. - -

Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved. Acts 16:31

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13

...if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart
that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave
the right to become children of God. John 1:12

For it is by grace (unmerited favor) you have been saved, through faith -
and this not from yourselves, it (too) is the gift of God -
not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 1:10

That's all there is to it.

The best part is that you can do it right now, this minute, right where you are, no matter what condition you're in.
You don't have to "make things right" first. In fact, once you give your life to Christ, he will help you with all your needs.

If you feel you don't know how to pray, or where to start, this will help - just pray:

Dear Lord, I know I am a sinner. I believe you, Jesus, were my substitute when you died
on the cross. I believe your shed blood, death, burial and resurrection were for me.
I now receive you as my Lord and Saviour and ask you to come into my life and
dwell in my heart. I thank you for the forgiveness of my sins and the gift of
salvation and eternal life with you, because of your merciful grace.
In Jesus' name do I pray these things. Amen."

If you've done this, the gift is yours!
Heaven will rejoice!

Then Jesus told them this parable:

"Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.' I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."

"Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.' In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." Luke 15:3-10
