About Me
Hello. My name is Dan Nicholas & I live in Arnprior, ON, Canada
I was born here in Arnprior at our local Hospital on the 20th of May, 1952.
When I am not at my computer, I am busy enjoying my eleven grandchildren, Anthony, Steven,
Richard, Emily, Samantha, Victoria, Baily, Kelsey, Marcus, Tyler and the newest William.
I also have two very nice young ladies living with me in Hilary & Meredith.
I have been a member of The Arnprior Knight's of Columbus Council 2082 since December 1982.
I enjoy playing guitar. My roots are deeply embedded in Rock. I started playing Country about 1991.
I have been transcribing & collecting songs since I was 14. I am self taught & do not read music.
I have been volunteering and entertaining at the local Hospitals & Nursing homes in Arnprior, Renfrew & Braeside since 2006 and play 5 or 6 times a month.
Over the years I have written many songs & Poems which I someday hope to publish.

In October 2007 I decided to record two of my songs.
I went to Voicecast Studios and as I don't play Drums, Bass or Lead,
the Owner Jeff Martel created some pretty good licks to wrap around my songs. I was very pleased with the results and
I sent the CD's to two local radio Stations and while I don't receive any money when they get played, I certainly do get a lot of enjoyment.

My Town

Arnprior is a small town of 7500 residents centered in the Ottawa Valley. It is situated between two of Ontario's
finest & cleanest rivers... The Madawaska & The Ottawa. These rivers join right at our well kept
Robert Simpson Park. Plenty of grass & picnic tables with a magnificent view overlooking the Ottawa.
Or just laze around on the beach after a refreshing swim. It's worth the trip to Arnprior just
to experience the town's beauty, peaceful & healthy atmosphere.
