Kids Corner
have a look ... it's safe
Here are some kidz sites you and your parents may like to visit:
Rainy Day Activity #1:
With Mom's help bake a batch of peanut butter cookies, but instead of round cookies, shape the dough into any form you choose. Don't make them too thick or they'll be gooy in the middle. Decorate them with mini-m&ms, chocolate chips, chopped nuts, coconut, sprinkles, etc. You can even write on your cookies with a butter knife or tooth pick. My kids love to do this because they get their hands in the dough and it's easy. (I choose to use refrigerated dough or mix which makes Mom's job much easier too.)
Rainy Day Activity #2:
Get on the internet with Mom or Dad and visit the Whitehouse.gov site. It is a wonderful place to look for all types of information about the government as well as a wealth of other things. It has links to the Smithsonian Institution, National Air and Space Museum, Alber Einstein Planetarium, all the National Museums, the National Portrait Gallery and the National Libraries. It really is an adventure.

Youth Adventures is a Christian youth group designed for elementary grade kids (K-8th), which originated at the Williamsburg Church of Christ in Williamsburg, VA. in February 1998. The idea is for kids to get together with their peers, have fun, do something, and maybe learn something in a Christian environment without having to spend any money, sell anything or pass any test. In YA kids learn about things by doing them like camping, hiking, first-aid, swimming, gardening, crafting, Bible school helpers, cooking out-of-doors, home safety, wood working, acting, singing, and much more.
