Surf'n at Newcastle

I was educated at Marist Bros. high School
got to intermediate standard and dropped out
started a apprenticeship as a Coppersmith
but got bored with that and changed to Plumbing
and been doing that ever since
except for a few other jobs , like Managing  the Coast Camping Center store and  Bar-B-Que Galore store

I was married at the age of 17 to my one and only love, Dorothy, it was love at first sight, we were both madly in love. We had six children
four boys and two girls  David , Lynda, Kenneth, Darren, Geoffrey and Maree.
We, Dorothy, Myself and our little baby David, lived at Stockton in a caravan on the ocean beach front caravan park, for about 1 year. We bought a small house on the top of the hill surrounding Warners Bay on Lake Macquarie. Thats when our family started to grow. It was a hard struggle raising six children on a single income and paying off our home .
Dorothy was a magician the way she handled the finances , fed us and kept our family looking good. She was the original Miss Fix-it , a better cook I have never seen and sew! she was brilliant, she could go to town buy a couple yards material and two hours later she was wearing a dress she created. What we all did not know is what talent she had untill they opened their Bridal Boutique, Dorothy could design and make some the most esquisive Head pieces , Tiaras, Bridal Gowns and Bridesmaids Dresses

David is my oldest and is married to Donna, They  have two boys , Ricky and Dean. boy! are those pair a hand full  they are two firecracker , you bettcha. Don't see much of them these days , get a phone call every now and then but not very often.  

Lynda is now my only daughter, she is now divorced and has four wonderful kids, three girls and a boy, Lisa is the oldest, she has turned into a beautiful young lady ,

Then there is Alison, she has the greatest bubbling personality you could find, she always puts a smile on my face when she phones me and says "Hey Pa, can I sleep over your house tonight " Kristy is next, she just started high school , wow! don't they grow up quick  and Adam , now this one great kid In all my life I have never seen a young boy that can work as hard as him, he is such a great help to his mum.

My son Kenneth is still single and lives at Redhead .   

Darren and Debby have a beautiful daughter Taylor Jean Maree the latest addition to the family and she is one real cutie , She is our gift from heaven, we all know exactly who sent her to us

Geoffrey lives at home with me,
 

I've been a Scuba Diving instructor, Spear fisherman , Game fishing , Hiking, Canoeing, Hunting,   I love motorcycles, and I've been a clay target shooter,

I guess I'm into most sports that involves water  or the outdoors
Surfing , water-skiing, powerboat racing.
Flown a plane , driven a steam train

They owned Dreams Come True Bridal Boutique  They both started out with a dream to build their business up to give all the brides a place to chose the gown of their dreams , with all their help they became part of the customers life ,it was not profit that drove them , it was the smiles on the girls faces  and the happiness they gave them.
Because of this style of business it only took them four years to become one of the leading bridal boutiques in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie
