The Ronald Mc Donald House of Central Florida, Inc. will be opened in December of 1996 to serve the families of patients in area hospitals. At the Ronald Mc Donald House parents can find not only comfortable living quarter, bedrooms with private baths, kitchens, dining and recreational facilities but can also share experiences with others who may have similar problems, hopes or expectations related to their child's hospitalization.
The Philosophy of the Ronald Mc Donald House states that persons in need should be provided care regardless of race, religion, national origin or ability to pay. The minimum charge presently $10.00 per room, per night, if the family can afford it covers only a fraction of the cost to operate thehouse. Therefore, contributions of funds, services and supplies are sought and received from individuals businesses and organizations throughout the community.
Everything in the Ronald Mc Donald House has been donated from generous individuals as well as businesses and other organizations with in our local community. In the house like the library, reception, office, play room, the13 bedrooms, kithchen, dining room, pantry, laundry & corridors, floor porch,and telephone rooms were all donated by different doner, and each room is designed differently with a name.
