Sittin' in the morning sun
We'll be sittin' till that groundhog comes.
Watching the snowflakes fall,
Hopin' that this will be all, yeah.
Sittin' on the hill all day,
Wishin' winter'd just go away.
Oh, sittin' here at Gobbler's Knob,
Wanting spring, ah ha ha.
He'll leave his home underground,
And make those headlines abound.
Cuz there's  nothin' else to live for,
And hopes warm winds will blow his way.
So, we're sittin' on the hill all day,
Wishin' winter'd just go away.
Sittin' here at Gobbler's Knob,
Wanting spring.
Looks like nothin's gonna change,
Cold winter still remains the same.
Phil can't tell winter what to do,
Boy, it sure feels the same.
Sittin' here cold and forlorn,
Winter just won't leave us alone.
Many miles we've roamed,
Just to see this Phil guy's home.
Oh, sittin' on the hill all day,
Wishin' winter'd just go away.
