  I started training dogs 10 years ago which started as a hobby, when I took my first GSD Gypsy for training. After going through all the grades of obedience (beginners to advance) then moved on to the protection training. Both Gyspy and I enjoyed it so much. Then I wanted to be an instructor, so I was taught what to say, how to say it and learnt to look for handlers mistakes and showed them how to correct it.
  My working career started out with computers over 15 years ago, going from data typist, to installations and support, to programming. Throughout my working career I never really enjoyed what I was doing but the money was so good I couldn’t leave. Eventually I became a freelance programmer working from home with 3 computers and had developed some excellent software for major companies and large Town Councils. Still doing dog training in the evenings, I had opened 3 dog schools in the area where I live.
  Eventually deciding I no longer wanted to do computer work, I built kennels at my home and now do dog training full time and programming part time.
  I don’t make anywhere near the same amount of money but I love what I do and I am so much happier.
