The magic mixture is:
1 quart 3% hydrogen peroxide
1/4 cup baking soda
1 teaspoon liquid soap
Mix together, thoroughly scrub mixture into dog's coat and let stand five minutes. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
This recipe works like a charm. Also, at 3% strength (ordinary drugstore variety), the peroxide will not affect coat color - no bleaching effect at all.
DO NOT SHAKE MIXTURE!! & GOOOOD LUCK :)
HOTSPOT SPRAY.....
Hotspot Spray: 1 heaping tsp. crushed sage leaves 1/4 tsp. Epsom Salts 1 qt. water Bring this all to a boil. Cool to room temp. strain out the sage leaves and store in a tight jar. Spray or wipe on hotspots, insect bites or any other skin abrasions. Will promote healing in about 3 days, and you should see some hair regrowth in about a week.}
