Preston Rhines was a true war hero. In World War II, he was wounded at the beginning of the Battle of the Bulge and suffered severe injuries. He remembered lying in the snow freezing before his men got to him. At first they thought he was a German but that was soon set straight.

Christoffel Columbus Reyn (Steve's 5th Great Grandfather) was born in 1741 in Alsace, Lorraine, Germany and died in 1826 Scholarie, New York.
