1926-2000
Evelyn McLeod Martin was born May 4, 1926 on Hunsucker Street in Biscoe, NC. Her father was Charles Johnson McLeod, her mother was Lillie Dowd McLeod. Her younger sister was Betty Charles.
She graduated from Biscoe High School and attended Mars Hill College.
On November 16, 1947 she was married to W.C. Martin, Jr. of Biscoe. On March 24, 1951, her only daughter, Elizabeth Ann, was born. Her first son, Gregory Stephen was born in February, 1952, but lived only two days. He is buried in Biscoe Cemetery. Her next son, Samuel Charles, was born July 4, 1957. The youngest son, Alan Hugh, was born May 2, 1960.
Evelyn retired from Montgomery County Department of Social Services in 1991. She had also been employed by Sandhills Community Action Program Head Start, and Hallum's Furniture.
She had three grandsons, Carson(1991), Elijah(1999) and Daniel(2000).
Evelyn passed away on October 8, 2000. Burial was in Biscoe Cemetery.


Granny/Lillie
1900-1996
Lillie Dowd McLeod was born December 11, 1900 in Bensalem Township, Moore County, NC. Her father was __________ Dowd, her mother was _________Dowd. Her Siblings were: ______________________.
She graduated from Biscoe High School and attended __________School of Nursing in High Point, NC. On _______________she was married to Charles Johnson McLeod of Biscoe. On May 4, 1926, her first daughter, Lillie Evelyn, was born. The youngest daughter, Betty Charles, was born _______________.
Lillie worked as a Registered Nurse at Moore Memorial Hospital in Pinehurst, NC. She had also been employed as a private duty nurse. She had six grandchildren, Ann(1951), Sammy(1957), Buck(1960), Hugh(1960), Catherine Ann, (196?), and Charles (196?).
Lillie passed away on September __, 1996. Burial was in Biscoe Cemetery.


Grandpa Williams
1917-1991
Cecil Jackson Williams was born April 17, 1917 near Westmoore Community in Moore County, NC. His father was George Walter Williams, his mother was Annie Garner Williams. His siblings were: Carson, Marvin, Albert, Mildred, Huldah, Lillie, Maggie & Ruth .
Cecil attended Biscoe School.
On October 8, 1937 he was married to Clara Martin of Biscoe. On September 25, 1940 their first son, Jack, was born. Their first daughter, Faye, was born September 8, 1938. Their youngest son, Larry Jackson, was born February 3, 1944. Their youngest daughter, Carol Diane, was born December 5, 1946.
Cecil retired from Springs Industries in 1974. He was also a self-employed farmer.
They had ten grandchildren: Brent, Ginger, Mike, Steve, Cindy, Amy, Ben, Brad, Andy & Stephanie.
Cecil passed away on February 3, 1991. Burial was in Macedonia Presbyterian Church Cemetery near Candor, NC.


Me-Maw
1894-1969
Ruth Johnson Martin was born March 1, 1894 in Moore County, NC. Her father was Henry Archibald Johnson, her mother was Catherine Priest Johnson. Her Siblings were: Claude, _____, Archie, Lannie, Ellen, Emma & Pearl.
School:Elise. On June 29 1920 she was married to Winborn Carson Martin of Montgomery County. On August 19, 1921, their first child, Inez, was born. Winborn Carson Jr. was born March 19, 1923. Henry was born March 2, 1925. Mary Ruth, the youngest daughter, was born September 29, 1927. The youngest son, James Ervin, was born March 5, 1935.
Ruth was a homemaker. She had eight grandchildren, Mackie (), Ann(1951), Mark(), Christie(), Mike(),Sammy(1957), Lavonne(1957) and Hugh(1960).
Ruth passed away on May 9, 1969. Burial was in Biscoe Cemetery.

Winborn Carson Martin, Sr. was born January 16, 1889 in Montgomery County, NC. His father was Angus Franklin Martin, his mother was Ann Beaman Martin. His Siblings were: Brack, Grady, Vellie, Martha & ________.
School: Biscoe High School & Elon College. On June 29, 1920 he was married to Ruth Johnson of Moore County. His children and grandchildren are listed above. W.C. was a businessman and a minister.
W.C. passed away on November 16, 1962. Burial was in Biscoe Cemetery.

Charles Johnson McLeod was born ____________, 18__ in _________________, NC. His father was __________ McLeod, his mother was _________McLeod. His Siblings were: ______________________.
He went to college at North Carolina Agricultural and Mechanical College in ARaleigh, NC (now N.C. State University). On _______________he was married to Lillie Evelyn Dowd of Bensalem, NC. On May 4, 1926, their first daughter, Lillie Evelyn, was born. The youngest daughter, Betty Charles, was born _______________.
Charlie worked as: __________________________________. He had no grandchildren before his death.
Charliepassed away on __________ __, 1945. Burial was in Bensalem Presbyterian Church Cemetery. His grave was later moved to Biscoe Cemetery.
