IN MEMORY

OF

SUDA ELLEN ROGERS FAULKNER

On December 3, 2000, Suda Ellen Faulkner, age 89, went to be with
the Lord. She had been declining in health for the last several years.
Suda was born on June 15, 1911 near Prague, Oklahoma to Isaac
Henry and Sarah Roxie Ann (Little) Rogers. She was one of 13 chil-
dren born to Isaac and Roxie. Her siblings included Leslie William,
Nancy Jane, Elsie Mae, Dolly Margaret, Grace Marie, Blanche Effie,
Albert Henry, Rose Ann, Edna Mae, and Velma. There were two
other siblings who died near birth. She lived in Oklahoma until she was
about 12 years old when the family moved to Glendale, AZ due to the
declining health of her father.

She married Wilmot Eugene Faulkner, the love of her life, on June 18,
1928 in Phoenix, AZ. She and her husband resided in a number of
places in Arizona and Southern California. She and her husband were
both Ministers of the Gospel and held licenses with the International
Pentecostal Holiness Church, Bethany, OK. Her husband passed away
in 1984 at the age of 76. Suda and Eugene had seven children, Buddy
Gene, Stanley Joe, Edwin Henry, Ronald Wayne, Patricia Ann,
Douglas Eugene, and Wanda Sue.

She was an excellent homemaker, wife, and mother. She loved spend-
ing time with and doing things for her children, especially on holidays.
One of the highlights of her life was when she and her husband had the
opportunity to go on a Missionary trip to the Philipines, Fiji, Australia,
Tonga and Somoa. Her son Stan was a missionary in Tonga at that time.

She was preceeded in death by her parents and three of her children,
Buddy (1935), Ronnie (1988 ), and Patricia(1994). Her survivors in-
clude one sister, Rose Ann Carns and husband George of Newport
Beach, CA; son Stanley and his wife Jane of Albany, OR; son Edwin
and wife Bonnie of Fairfield, CA; Doug and wife Renee of Mennifee,
CA; daughter Susie and husband Laban West of Yukon, OK; Grand-
children--Kim Kirk, Melanie Green, Julie Schaefer, Heather Clark,
Deanna Faulkner, Dale Faulkner, James Faulkner, Monica Faulkner,
Marcel Faulkner, Becky Carvallho, Ronald Faulkner Jr, Brian Nelson,
Brent Nelson, Doug Faulkner Jr, Kristina Faulkner, Michael Faulkner,
Eric Faulkner, Benjamin West, Zachary West; many great-grand-
children, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Six years after the death of her husband Suda moved to Oklahoma
where she resided with her daughter Pat and husband Jack Nelson
and family, and also with her daughter Susie and husband Laban
West and family. Since 1991 her primary residence has been the
Ranchwood Nursing Center where she lived until her death. Her
son's and other family members often visited her in the nursing home.
Even though she could not communicate verbally, she would brighten
up with a sparkle on her face when one of her children would come
to see her. Her grandson's Benjamin and Zachary West spent a lot
of time with her at the nursing home and especially during
the final days before her death.

Many thanks to the staff at Ranchwood Nursing Center,
Yukon, for their loving care of her through the years.

A Tribute to Suda
By her daughter, Susie West

Suda’s Favorite Hymn

Constantly Abiding

There’s a peace in my heart that the world never gave,
A peace it can not take away;
Tho’ the trials of life may surround like a cloud,
I’ve a peace that has come there to stay!

Constantly Abiding, Jesus is mine;
Constantly Abiding, rapture divine;
He never leaves me lonely, whispers, O so kind:
“I will never leave thee,” Jesus is mine.
