Rules
+ Ages as of January 1st, 1999
+ No youth may exhibit a stallion.
+ Youth Walk Trot/Jog Limit means that they may not cross enter into a canter/lope class.
+ Nervous Novice: very green rider or very green horse never to have one three blues in that class.
+ Novice: not to have ever won three blue ribbons in that class.
+ Colored Breed must show visible color from the center of the arena. Appaloosa, Paint, Pinto, Buckskin, Palomino, etc.
+ Solid Breed: gray, white, bay, sorrel, brown, black, chestnut, roan, etc.
+ Long sleeves, boots & hat required other show clothes optional.
+ ASTM/SEI approved helmets not required for youth but appreciated.
+ Humane schooling devices allowed.
+ Judges decision is final.
+ No disruptive schooling.
+ Breaks will be announced.

Rules & Important Show Information:
ABRA NOTICE: All ABRA horses MUST have copies of registration papers turned into the show office prior to showing in ABRA approved classes. Owners and Exhibitors MUST also turn in photocopies of current membership cards from ABRA to show Youth or Amateur membership card must be shown to participate in ABRA Youth or Amateur classes.
THOROUGHBRED/1/2 THOROUGHBRED NOTICE: All TB & 1/2 TB horses MUST have copies of registration papers turned into the show office prior to showing in TB & 1/2 TB classes. 1/2 TB horses must have proof of one FULL TB parent. To receive TEA or OHA points, exhibitors MUST turn in a copy of current membership card from the organization(s) in which points are to be reported.
OHA NOTICE: COBC must have a copy of your current OHA card to facilitate our bookwork.
NOVICE CLASSES: A Novice class is open to horses which have not won three first ribbons at an Approved show of OHA, AHSA and/or Breed affiliated association in the particular performance division in which they are shown. A horse is considered a novice for the entire year if they are novice at the beginning of the show year. Join the Crew! Get a great newsletter! Compete for great year end awards!
COBC MEMBERSHIP: 1999 Individual Membership: $15.00 1999 Family Membership: $20.00 1999 Youth Membership: $10.00
COBC YEAR END AWARDS: To qualify for COBC Year End Awards, both exhibitor and owner must be COBC Members before points are earned. Open exhibitors (non-Buckskin) are also eligible for the Open Year End Awards provided they (and the owner of the horse) are a current member of the COBC.
AWARDS: Rosette Ribbons through 5th place. High Point and Reserve for Open Youth 13 & Under, 14-17, Open All Ages, ABRA Youth 13 & Under, 14-17, ABRA Amateur, ABRA All Ages, TB & 1/2 TB, Open Novice. All high point class numbers will be posted at the office during the show. Membership encouraged but not required to win show awards.
