Brenda 's World

1997/1998

I'm a run of the mill Singapore housewife with a husband and two children, Sara-Ann and Joshua. I consider myself one of the lucky ones because I have a very supportive husband who has unfailingly encouraged all my interests ("bits and pieces")as I sometimes think of them.

David is an avid golfer and excels in almost every game he takes on. He plays golf regularly, twice a week usually once midweek and Saturday mornings when the children and I are occupied with our own activities.

Sara-Ann is a very busy little girl and has developed her own interests. She's the arty one in the family as drawing, art and craft are top on the list of her hobbies. She's in primary school and enjoying it very much. If David and I would let her she'd be in some course or other everyday of the week. Sporty she's not, and swimming is the only sport she enjoys.

Joshua however has taken after his Dad and enjoys all kinds of sports. One of his favourites is badminton which he is good at and he is training with his school every Tuesday. He too is in primary school and enjoying it alot.

When I first decided to stop working to take care of the children, I was quite apprehensive as I had worked all my life and the thought of being home the whole day was daunting. But positive thinking helped and its paid off a hundred fold. I find that I know a lot more people now and have developed interests I'd never before imagined would grasp my attention.

A little corner of my home where I sit and dream,
sew, read or work, wheather permitting. It's where the
children had their messy fun as toddlers. Our little patio
is the in all purpose spot for the whole family.
