Collecting

Collecting is a personal thing, I dont collect for investment, but rather the history. And specifically the history of football.

My primary interests have changed over the last few years. I was always a big card collector and more precisely cards of CFL teams and players. Living in Canada helped. But with the demise of my team, The Ottawa Rough Riders, after 120 years of football, I got caught up in the history of it all. especially that now the are gone it is more difficult to get a hold of memorabilia.

So I sat down and came up with the Dukes collecting philosophy. A radical change was at hand, not least of which was my impending marriage and move to Milwaukee. A step nearer to my other favorites, the Green Bay Packers, and of course college football and the Wisconsin Badgers.

I came to realize in this collecting self analysis that it was the history that I enjoy the most, so I decided that it was the memorabilia that satisfied me the most. So there it is I said it and finally after all this time came up with a collecting game plan. And I heartily recommend it to anyone that feels they are wandering the collecting maze. As I was for years.

My collecting priorities have become:
