THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

FEDERAL PROTECTIVE SERVICE

The Law Enforcement and Security Division of the General Services Administration

REGION 10

THE NORTHWEST, ARCTIC REGION

WASHINGTON, OREGON, IDAHO AND ALASKA

The Federal Protective Service is the primary law enforcement agency with the mission and expertise to protect approximately 8,300 federal facilities and more than 1,000,000 federal employees and the millions of citizens who live near and visit our nation's federal buildings every year.

On April 19, 1995, a truck bomb destroyed the Alfred P. Murrah federal building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This tragic and despicable act is just one example of the many incidents that the Federal Protective Service deals with each year. The Oklahoma City bombing served as a sober reminder that the United States is not immune to acts of terror.

This site is dedicated to the men and women who serve in the Federal Protective Service. Please check out our web site. We have pages dedicated to the services we provide in the Northwest and Arctic Region, our mission, our history, and links to other law enforcement pages.
