1880 Alabama, Tallapossa County census data. Listed one door down famiy of David Campbell, age 72, Mary 58, Amanda, age 21, Marinda, age 20 Mahaley, age 18. Another neighbor shows Lucy Campbell, age 35, Mary, age 14, Della, age 13, and Robert, age 9.

Notes for David Campbell:
Died in the Hughes & McKie oil well caught fire on March 13th 1923 while the crew was
putting on extra valves. Thirteen men were burned to death.

1930 census for Navarro County shows birth state as Georgia
Most records show her given name as Elizabeth Nettie. None of us remember her ever being called anything but Nettie. While doing research a birth certificate and a Bible given to her by Willie and Cora the correct name has become apparent. Her legal name was Jeanette Elizabeth. It is easy to see how the nickname of "Nettie" came about.
