Notes for David Campbell:
Died in the Hughes & McKie oil well caught fire on March 13th 1923 while the crew was
putting on extra valves. Thirteen men were burned to death.

He was born November 14, 1873 in Navarro County, Tx, and died May 20, 1949 in Corsicana, Navarro Co, Tx.

1930 census for Navarro County shows birth state as Georgia
Most records show her given name as Elizabeth Nettie. None of us remember her ever being called anything but Nettie. While doing research a birth certificate and a Bible given to her by Willie and Cora the correct name has become apparent. Her legal name was Jeanette Elizabeth. It is easy to see how the nickname of "Nettie" came about.

Received American Defense Service Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon 2 Battle Stars, 2 Arrowheads, Good Conduct Medal, Philippine Liberation, Ribbon and Victory Medal. Was discharged August 23, 1945.
+ 11 vi. Romia Lee Rascoe, born October 02, 1918 in Navarro County, Tx; died March 31, 1945.
