I have stated that dobes are very muscular and have lots of energy. It seems as though, when theirs legs aren't moving the energy gets transferred to their jaws! Other the years we have always owned a male and female together. The males tend to be the chewers and swallowers. I have listed a few of the more "memorable" items my boys have enjoyed.
My Judge was the worst. Here's a list of the more unusual items Judge has decided need to be tasted.
My Boy-dog Luther had his own special set of taste buds. He really would put anything in his mouth. I made the mistake of early on "rewarding" him giving up something he shouldn't have(long story short we got him as a rescue from the streets at around 4-5 yrs old).
