Coffee Filter Flowers
Need: Coffee filter, Markers (or water color paints), and Green pipe cleaners.

Give each child 3-5 coffee filters. Have them color (decorate) them with
magic markers(or water color paints) If they do a ring around the outer edge it looks really nice. Once they are finished, lay them on top of each other and gather in the center. Twist a green pipe cleaner around the center then let it hang for a stem.

Additional: Make paper leaves for the stems.

Dandelion
Need: Yellow construction paper, Green Construction paper, Brown Construction paper, Glue Scissors, and Marker.

To make the flower Cut a yellow circle 5" and another 4". From brown paper cut a circle 2 1/2 inches. Glue the circles one on top of the other. Fringe the yellow circles. Make a smiley face on the brown circle. Now, glue the flower onto the stems. Measured each child and make the stems the same height as the child. Then add two leaves and write the child's name on one leaf and their height on the other. These looked so cute along the wall. Above the flowers write the words "Flowers Grow with Love".

Ribbon Sticks
Need:
Crepe paper streamers
Drinking straws
Stapler
Scissors

If you like dancing you can make some ribbon sticks to use while you move to the music.  These are also super for pep rallies and parades. The colorful paper streamers will flutter and wave as you move them through the air.
Cut three 36" paper streamers.  You can use all one color or a variety.  Holding the three ends together, wrap the crepe papers around the end of the straw, tucking the cut edges under.  Staple to the straw

Hand Flowers

Need:
Heavy Paper
Washable paint (two colors of choice and a green)
Paint Brushes (small and large)

Take your kids and brush thier hand with one color. Press the handprint onto the paper in a circle in the center of the paper with the palm being at the center so the fingers would be the petals of the flower. If you have more than one child rotate every other print for each child. Paint on a center and a stem for the handprint flower. You can write on the paper "Like flowers our  tiny seeds will grow with love" I framed them and gave them as gifts to the grandma's.
