• My name is Fred Fisher and I attended Graded from 1962 to 1964. I would have been in the class of '66. I'd be interested in hearing from classmates who might remember me. Those were the some of the best years of my life and I miss them. I was active in the drama club and knew the late Jim Colby well. I also did a lot of photography for the yearbook. Are there class lists from the various graduating classes? My yearbooks are long gone and seeing names would bring back memories. I do remember many of my school chums, Mike Brewster, Curtis Barton, Steve Collins, Cherry Collins, Beth Arnold, Una Flaate, and Tylka Vitula (my favorite name of all time). • My name is Suzanne (Boynton) Mc Coy . I am Shelly's sister but I was two years earlier in graduating from Graded. I am interested to know if there is a website for the class of 1973. I would like to put my information in or help to organize something for us . I am so impressed with my sister's class and how they kept in touch . I have emailed several people on the list that I was close to during my one year --senior year-- at Graded. I spent most of my time as a senior with my boyfriend ,Bill Miller, a member of your class. • My name is David Perry , I attended Graded my Freshman and Sophomore years ('66 & '67). While having graduated from High School in Abilene, Texas, and mind you having had fun in the process, and might have accidentally learned something......the days at Graded stand out distinctly. Not only were life long acquaintances made, but gracious, the credentials of those ladies and gentlemen who taught us! They were from Everywhere, and knew almost Everything, and could explain it to you in no less than 16 languages each. I had my West Texas eyes opened real wide many time while living in Sao Paulo, but being taught my native first language by a lady from Nepal to whom English was at least a second language stands out as probably one of the most humbling. Hats off to the Vladimirs, DeMellos, Dona Lucias and the rest of the faculty bunch wherever they may be! If anyone knows of how to obtain a list of those who attended Graded during the '66 - '67 time period I would really appreciate the info. Or if you managed not to loose your yearbook from that period and wouldn't mind mailing, emailing, or faxing me the Freshmen and Sophomore pages, that would be marvelous too. Also, I would really enjoy hearing from anyone who remembers the campus radio station we started in '66. The call letters were WEGSP (I know it's too long, couldn't be helped) The station reached at least a two block area around the school, on a good day. Did the station continue? Is it now a multi-million dollar operation, am I famous with my name inscribed on a plaque on the wall for having started it? Or not? One of the perks for being with the radio station at the time was being able to represent the school at occasions down the road past the futbol stadium at the Governors' mansion. I remember one such occasion when someone requested our presence at the mansion to help officially greet a couple of visiting US astronauts. Only years later did the names of those two guys, whose hands I shook that particular day, mean anything to me. One was Chaffe, and the other Armstrong. Graded memories? You bet there are...and they're some of the best! I really didn't start out to write a thesis, just kinda happened. Thanks again for providing the space for us to do this. Would love any responses. • I am looking for Elizabeth (Liz) Dale, from the class of 1978. I believe she settled in California. Her parents were English, and she had a younger brother. She and I were best friends for a few years in high school. Liz and I had so many laughs and fun times, hanging out on Rua Augusta...Jack In The Box was our happening hang out. • Saw your Graded missing persons posting on the web. I would have been in the class of '74, but got kicked out in '72 for having too good of a time. I've seen a couple of the websites (does this stuff hit anybody else in the gut so strongly?). I'd love to find Vernon Harrison, who would have been in the class of '73, but he and his siblings were asked to leave school as well, and high-tailed it back to Mobile, AB. Life sure has changed since those days. I could not believe the pictures of Graded as it looks now, surrounded by urban mass. Let me know if you get any more updates.
