Richard Northcott and Hannah Braund were both born in England and were married there.   Nine of their ten children were also born in England, only James was born in the United States. According to records in the family Bible, they were born and raised in the Devonshire area of England.

  1.  Richard¹ Northcott was born in Devonshire, England November 4, 1800.  Richard died January 12, 1871 in New Lisbon, WI, at 70 years of age. 

He married Hannah Braund in Devonshire, England.  Hannah was born September 3, 1807.  Hannah died March 6, 1873 in New Lisbon, WI, at 65 years of age.

     Richard Northcott and Hannah Braund had the following children:

      2  i.  Robert² Northcott was born in Devonshire, England June 20, 1830.  Robert died May 3, 1904 in New Lisbon, WI 53950, at 73 years of age.  He lived most of his life in Fountain Township, Juneau County, Wisconsin.   He never married.   He served in the Civil War and was honorably discharged.
    +  3  ii.  John Northcott was born June 10, 1834.
    +  4  iii.  Betsy Ann Northcott was born April 5, 1837.
    +  5  iv.  Richard Northcott was born February 2, 1840.
    +  6  v.  Mary Jane Northcott was born July 10, 1842.
    +  7  vi.  Hannah Northcott was born December 17, 1844.
    +  8  vii.  Charlotte Northcott was born December 29, 1846.
    +  9  viii.  William C. Northcott was born February 19, 1848.
      10  ix.  Thomas Northcott was born in Devonshire, England June 4, 1832.  Thomas died c. 1850 in Buried at sea..  Died enroute to the U.S. Burried at Sea.
    +  11  x.  James L. Northcott was born August 10, 1851.
 

  3.  John² Northcott (Richard¹) was born in Devonshire, England June 10, 1834. 

He was  a farmer in Fountain Township of Juneau County, Wisconsin.  He was a Civisl War veteran honorably discharged.

     John Northcott had the following children:

      13  ii.  Hattie Northcott.
      14  iii.  Juliana Northcott.
      15  iv.  Henrietta Northcott.  She married ? Mead.  Twin to John H. Northcott.
      16  v.  Richard Northcott.
      17  vi.  Iva Lillian Northcott.  She married Henry C. Flagg in Town of Fountain, Juneau Co., WI, November 30,
