Job's Daughters-Bethel 93 of Osseo, Minnesota
Job's Daughters International is a premier organization for young women that provides a wholesome environment based on the foundation of high morals, love of country, love of family and friends and respect for others throughout the world. It is a living organization dedicated to meeting the needs of young women today and their challenges of tomorrow. It is a quality organization that fosters a sense of pride in achievement for each and all members as they prepare to become the adult leaders of the future.
We meet twice a month to discuss past events and plan new activities. Our Bethel currently has 24 members, 18 of which are active. Our membership includes girls from ages from 11 to 20.
We have a philanthropic project called the HIKE (Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment) Fund that we raise money for each year. We help families buy hearing aids and other helpful equipment for their children. This is supported by Job's Daughters from all around the world.
We also have semi-annual service projects where we go out and do something for our community. Our Bethel cleans a local park and have planted a tree there. In 1996 we sponsored a book drive to restock the ravaged libraries of the East Grand Forks Area. We collected over 3,300 books and also assisted them at the library itself on our many trips to the East Grand Forks/Grand Forks area.
We also do many fun activities including: snow tubing, mystery trips, sleepovers, sport activities, shopping, seeing movies, as well as attending many weekend events sponsored by both Job's Daughters and DeMolay. We even have camp in August!
