WELCOME TO MY WEB OF

WEAVERS

The data posted here has been accumulated during the past nine years, and even though I have tried to be accurate there are times when "my fingers won't listen to my brain". Just to complicate things I made the dreaded "newbie mistake" way back then and did not record sources.
If (or should I say when) you find errors please let me know! It goes without saying that I am always looking for additions. At any rate happy hunting, I hope you find the site useful.

MY UNCLAIMED ANCESTOR STORY
We all have at least one ancestor who gives us a hard time. In my case I truly believe that Michael Weaver was dropped on the shores of Digby Co, Nova Scotia by a seagull lost in a storm. The official story is that he arrived here as a UEL in 1783 and petitioned for a land grant in New Edinburgh, Digby County. He lived on the property for many years although the grant was not made official until a few months after his death. His children prospered and many of his descendants still live in Nova Scotia.
So why can't I find him before he arrived here?
I still think my seagull theory is the answer.
