osebrook rabians is a small family owned operation located in Sagle, Idaho, between Coeur d' Alene and Sandpoint in the Northern Panhandle.
In the 1800's, the Crane family bought two section of land in Alpine, California to farm and live on for many years. Behind the main house, in a brook, grew wild roses so the farm became- Rosebrook Ranch. Steve, my husband, grew up on the ranch with many fond memories, so when we moved to North Idaho in 1981 and started raising Arabians, we, of course, wanted to use "Rosebrook" as our farm name.
I acquired my first Arabian in 1969, and worked on the J.H Dunn Arabian Ranch in Alpine, in the '70s before starting my own operation here in Sagle. I gained alot of useful experience with over 50 Arabians to attend to, and have marveled over the years at all the great horses I was a witness to resurfacing in pedigrees and stories.
For years we were "regulars" at all the open shows. Things kept evolving, and we soon moved on to Class A, then Regionals and finally Youth Nationals. In 1990, Samantha, my oldest daughter, won the IAHA US National Arabian Judging Contest. Sissy, my youngest daughter has won many awards throughout the years, including 3 top-tens at Youth Nationals in '96.
At Rosebrook Arabians, we hope to continue our breeding goals into the next millenium, breeding for type, performance, disposition. Karen Crane, Rosebrook Arabians
