Who's Planting Trees
In Your Community?
As Kansans become more aware of how important trees
are to their quality of life, they realize the need to plant and care for trees close to
their homes and workplaces. The Kansas Urban Forestry Council is a
state-wide, grassroots, nonprofit organization of people from small and large communities
who are committed to expanding, improving and preserving trees in their neighborhoods.

The Kansas Urban
Forestry Council is made up of people just like you...homeowners, gardeners,
urban foresters, community leaders, county extension agents, all shapes and sizes of
people who agree that trees are too valuable of a resource to waste.
The Council
offers guidance, opportunities, and support programs to get actively involved in tree
projects that directly benefit your community or group.

To provide guidance to the
urban and community forestry movement in Kansas through education, training, volunteer
coordination, and technical assistance.
