What is past is prologue!
Welcome to my corner of the Web. My name is Pam Reid and I am the keeper of my family's history and the Webmaster of this genealogy site. These pages are a loving tribute to my ancestors and to my Southern Heritage. These pages cover mainly FOSTER, GARNER, HINES, KIMBROUGH, LEISTER, MORELAND, THORN(E), TURNER and WINGO.
On February 1, 1999 I added a long document, "The Immigrant Foster", to the FOSTER section of the site. There has been a lot of controversy among FOSTER researchers as to the identity of the immigrant ancestor of the Southern FOSTER line. Dr. B. G. Foster has been looking into this for many years. The document I just uploaded came from him. It is a compilation of pieces of info, including source notes, uncovered during those years of research.
I updated the gedcom file on August 24, 1998, so the Family Group Sheets are up to date. Major changes were made to my THORN family line. I was finally able, with much help, to trace the ancestry of Theophilus Thorn back several generations. This was a real breakthrough! Read about our Thorn Family History!
