I started my schooling in a small English medium school - Kalpana Niketan - in Gudiwada. After a stint of one year there, I was moved to Upper Primary School. I studied upto 2nd class there. I did my third standard in Chowtapally. All my rest of the elementary schooling was in Komaravolu and my high school education was in a village called - Addada, 3 Km from Komaravolu. Here, in Addada, I met this remarkably inspiring and helpful teacher, Mr. Atluri Mohan Das, the then head master of Addada High School. He treated me as his son ever after. Sri Mohan Das is currently in Poranki, working for Krishnaveni School. I had another teacher, Mr.Lakshmi Das, who helped me in improving my English. Ms.Kamala Devi, our Hindi teacher till 7th standard helped me a lot. Despite my tendency to spend more time on Telugu novels, thanks to my Gurus' I got district first in SSC

After SSC, I moved to Hyderabad, capital of Andhra Pradesh to do Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in Government Polytechnic, Masab Tank. Just after completion of Diploma, I joined Capol Farm Equipment Limited (Now merged with Eicher Tractors Ltd) as a Trainee. This is the First Turning Point in my Career. Capol was an associate of Eicher Tractors Limited, a leader of 24 HP tractors, with approx.50% market share, in India. Eicher is a pioneer in TQM movement in India. I learnt a lot in Eicher. More about Capol & Eicher later. In 1989, I joined JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University), Hyderabad to do graduation course in Mechanical Engineering. Thanx to part time courses offered by JNTU, I could continue my job also. I quit Eicher for strategic reasons just before completion of my graduation - that's in 1993. Inspired by M.Srinivas's (My class mate & University topper) casual remarks and R.Satish's (My manager in Eicher) encouragement & guidance, I decided to do MBA from a premier management institute (either from IIM or from XLRI). Got through XLRI's admissions procedure & joined in their Business Management Course in 1994. This is Second Turning Point in my Career. Successfully completed the course by majoring in Finance & Marketing. My performance during a short stint with Arvind Mills (One of the world's leading Denim Manufacturer) guaranteed a Job in Arvind Mills, Finance Department after completion of the course. But, I joined Ramco Systems, a world class ERP Solutions provider with their product - Marshal. I have also done some small coureses. In 1989, I did a Diploma in Compuer Applications course from Data Computing Services (Thanx to their free training course for the toppers in entrance exam). I was so fascinated, I hired a computer during Summer 1990 and did a Materials Management project in DBase(I spent 20 days holidays and one month salary on that). In 1993-94, I joined Uptron-ACL for Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Computers & Information Management, a 2 year course. I could continue for one year only as I had to join XLRI in 1994. I did Post Graduate Diploma in Import Export Management offered by Indian School of Marketing Management during this period (1993-94). In 1996, while working for Ramco, I completed Level-1 Course in Spoken German in Max Mueller Bhavan, Madras.
