Wiley Swinney (1791-1858) and Harriet Smith (1803-aft 1860) had two sons and two daughters: James William, Burket D., Manerva, b. Sep 1827, Georgia, d. aft 1860, old Tishomingo County, Mississippi, m. to James Harlow Robertson, b. 1805, North Carolina, d. 12 Apr 1885, Booneville, Prentiss County, Mississippi, and Sophia Ann Gennett.

Wiley Swinney (1791-1858) and Mary Mahala Calvary (1821-1861) had six sons and four daughters: Thomas, Rebecca, Nancy Ann, Sabara Jane, Wiley Jo, Henry, Edmund, William T., Mary Francis, and John B.
Of Interest! A marker for Wiley Swinney, a veteran of the War of 1812, was dedicated and marked Saturday, October 17, 1998, at his old home place in Prentiss County, Mississippi.

Manerva Swinney (1827-aft 1860) and James Harlow Robertson (1805-1885) had three daughters and five sons: Sophira Temperance A., Mary T., James Wiley, b. 14 Mar 1849, old Tishomingo County, Mississippi, d. 14 Mar 1925, Stillwater, Payne County, Oklahoma, m. 8 Nov 1868, Barnsville, Lamar County, Georgia, to Millie Ann Jones, b. 28 Nov 1850, Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia, d. 1 Jan 1935, Vinson, Harmon County, Oklahoma, William Bonds, Burkett Swinney, Nathaniel Whitfield, Christopher Henry, and Fannie. All children were born in old Tishomingo County, Mississippi. Of the five sons, William Bonds remained in Booneville, Prentiss County, Mississippi, and the other four moved to Wise County, Texas. Christopher Henry stayed at Decatur, Wise County, Texas. About 1901, James Wiley, Burkett Swinney, and Nathanaiel Whitfield went to old Greer County, Oklahoma Territory. James Wiley first went to Willow, just north of Mangum, then settled at Vinson, while Burkett Swinney and Nathaniel Whitfield settled at Reed.
