OUR CHILDREN


1. Alan Keith EDWARDS was born on 13 Jul 1953 in Johnson City, TN. Alan has been in the banking and loan business areas since 1971. He was first employed as a courier for First Peoples Bank of Johnson City. Later advanced with United American Bank, First American National Bank, George Washington Savings and Loan and Action Mortgage Co. as President.

His favorite pastime is playing golf and attending NASCAR racing events. He excelled as a football player for the Science Hill Hilltoppers of Johnson City TN in 1969, 1970 and 1971, playing "end and guard" on both offense and defense. He made the varsity team as a sophomore. He also played Little League baseball for four years for the "ET&WNC Truckers and Babe Ruth baseball three years for the "Dr. Pepper" team.

On 25 August 1990, he and Rebecca Ann CALHOUN were married at the Cornerstone Church at Johnson City, TN. In 1992 he went to work for Carter County Finance Co. in Elizabethton, TN. Alan and Becky have one daughter, Lacey Nicole Edwards, b. 18 Nov 1991.



2.Crystal Ann EDWARDS was born 19 Jan 1956 in Johnson City, TN. After graduation from Science Hill High School in 1974 and a short stint in college, she was employed in the office of TPI Corporation, a manufacturer of electrical and mechanical components, primarily electric heating systems. In due time, she was promoted to the position of Credit Manager, a position she still holds in July 1998. Her hobby prior to marriage was softball.

On 29 November 1986, she married Larry Allen CAMPBELL and they built their home on a 10 acre spread overlooking Boone Lake and the Tri-City Airport.



3.Darrell Craig EDWARDS was born in Johnson City, TN on 10 Jan 1960.He was a graduate of Science Hill High School in Johnson City. He played both Little League and Babe Ruth baseball.
In 1979 he was employed by the East Tennessee and Western North Carolina Railroad Co as a trackman and trainman. Due to a new owner, the company name was changed to East Tennessee Railway and in 1985, he was promoted to General Freight Agent and Office Manager.

He married Michelle Jane SIROIS on 2 Jun 1979 at the First Church of the Brethren in Johnson City. Michelle is a RN at the Johnson City Medical Center hospital.

They have three children, John Christopher EDWARDS, b. 4 Mar 1982, Elizabeth Michelle EDWARDS, b. 2 Jun 1984 and Anna Katherine EDWARDS, b. 12 Jan 1987.

Special Notes on John Christopher EDWARDS:
John was a member of the Lenoir-Empire Little League team in Johnson City for three years. On 3 Jun 1994, he pitched a "no-hit shutout" against the Pepsi-Cola team with the score of 14-0. He was on the 1994 Johnson City National Little League All-Star team and that team won the local Johnson City title, then the title in the District, the Region and went to the Tennessee State Tournament in Clarksville, TN where they won the State Little League Championship in 5 games. From there, in August 1994, they advanced to the Southeastern Regional Little League Tournament in St. Petersburg, FL but lost the first two games and were eliminated. As of 1994, only two (2) Johnson City Little League teams have ever advanced to the Southeastern Regionals, the team of 1976 in which John's Uncle Scotty was a player and this team of 1994. In 1995, John was a member of a Johnson City Pony League team which gained only mediocre success. In 1996, he was selected as a member of the Metro Kiwanis Babe Ruth team. He was also a member of the 8th grade baseball team at the "Junior High School" level. In Feb 1996, he was selected as a member of the Freshman team at Science Hill High School.

On July 1, 1998, John left Johnson City (as a 16 year old) with the Campus Crusade for Christ for a month-long Christian mission to Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey. He was selected as one of 20 teenagers from across the United States for this mission, and the only one from the State of Tennessee. He hopes to use this mission as a step to his future somewhere in the field of religion.

In July 1999 he was again selected for a foreign mission with Campus Crusade for Christ. He flew to a country in Asia for a 35 day mission along with approximately 20 other students scattered over the United States.

Then is March 2000 he was sent to the country of Jordan for a 10-day mission and had a very successful trip. In June and July of 2000 he again returned to Asia for a period of 38 days.

On August 15, 2000 he commenced a 4-year study period at the MOODY BIBLE INSTITUTE in Chicago IL.



4.Randall Scott EDWARDS was born on 14 Apr 1964 in Johnson City, TN. He is a graduate of Science Hill High School, Tri-Cities State Technical Institute and East Tennessee State University in Johnson City TN.

He was employed as a computer System Analysist with (P.I.M.) Professional Information Management, Abingdon, VA in 1986. Their primary clientele is the medical and health field. He lives and owns a residence in Bristol, VA.

In his last year of Little League, 1976, he was selected on the Allstar team of the Johnson City National League. That team won the district, regional and Tennessee state championship tournaments that resulted in travel to St. Petersburg, FL for the "Southeastern States" tournament, going undefeated until the final round. While playing baseball for Science Hill High School, he and his team were in the state tournament, winning the district, regional, sub-state and went to the finals in Memphis where they were defeated by the Germantown team.

On 9 May 1987 he married Flora Christine (Kristy) LITTREAL at the Southwestern Baptist Church in Johnson City. Kristy is employed as a financial accountant with Moore's Chips in Bristol, VA.

On the 13th of Jun 1997, Scott and Kristy added to their family thru the birth of their first child, a son, Samuel Scott EDWARDS, weighing in at 6 lbs. - 7 oz. at the Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN. Their second son, Daniel John EDWARDS, weighing in at 8 lbs. - 3 oz. was born on 10 March 1999 at the Bristol Regional Medical Center.



5. Kimberly Jane EDWARDS was born in Johnson City, TN on 29 Oct 1968. She is a graduate of Science Hill High School and Tri-Cities State Technical Institute. Her hobbies are softball, volleyball and shopping.

She has been an employee of the Johnson City School System since Nov 1988 as a Secretary / Bookkeeper. She is a member of the First Church of the Brethren at Johnson City, TN.

On 11 Jun 1993 she married Bradley Jay CRAIG. Bradley is employed by the U. S. Postoffice Department. They have one son, William Isaac "Will" CRAIG born 16 Nov 1994.
