Kiss From A Rose
Letting Go
She's gone up to Heaven,
To be with Jesus you see,
My time with her was no longer to be.
I miss her, I love her,
And yes I am sad.
But she has no more pain,
And for that I am glad.
We knew when He gave her to us,
She would not be here long,
But oh how it hurts,
I need to be strong.
The three years we had her,
Was not quite enough,
You see, we weren't ready to give her up.
My arms ache to hold her,
My eyes want to see,
That beautiful smile, she always gave me.
Her eyes they did sparkle,
She was the light of my life.
Dear Jesus in Heaven, "why did she die?"
I know in my heart,
That she's happier now,
Laughing and playing and running around.
With wings white as snow,
She's flying real high,
It's just really hard to tell her goodbye.
The memories remain,
The tears they still flow,
And as hard as it is,
I have to let go.
So go be with the Angels,
Up in Heaven on high,
I'll always love you,
So go Heather "FLY".

The Lord sent an angel
to guide us day by day.
That Angel has been there
every step of the way.
Whenever you are lonely
or feeling kind of blue.
Jesus sends an angel to
look after you.
If you should grow weary
or need a helping hand,
Your angel is beside you,
leading you through the land.
So if you are alone
and need someone to
look after you,
Just call out to Jesus
and He will send an
Angel to you.

THE PERFECT ROSE
The perfect rose of spring time
Has a beauty all its own.
Its smell is very special,
The sweetest I have ever known.
The perfect rose blooms shyly
Opening slowly , peeking through,
Sending out a message,
From my heart to you.
The special rose of summer,
Blooms with a boldness of its own.
Sending its aroma freely
To everywhere its petals blown.
Pick the special rose of summer,
Dry the Petals on their own,
The aromas stay with you a long time,
With a sweetness before unknown.
The fragile leaves of autumn,
Now fading on their own,
While the winds blow in around it
Petals falling off and down.
The rose doesn’t bloom in winter,
It sleeps as most things on its own.
The waiting almost over,
Branches grow again renown.
But the perfect rose of spring time
Is the sweetest I have known,
With its beauty and its shyness,
Is the best one to have known.

MY DAD
He is a man of respect
Honesty and truth
To think any lower
Would be uncouth
He is a man to look up to
He is a hero of mine
And every day that passes
My feelings times by nine
He is my Father
And proudly I call him Dad
For I am his loving son
And couldn't be more glad.

Through His Eyes
Through His eyes
like a glass window
waiting to be shattered
he saw my soul
he showed me the beginning, the end
he showed me the love, the hate
he waited for the compassion, the concern
and saw nothing in return
the light was gone
the dark was here
shadows flooded my soul
as I watched it fall
in the blink of an eye
it was all gone
and who knew it was
through his eyes

His Love Is Always Near
Now the earth is where we live today
and we must serve God here,
For He watches us from way up there
and His love is always near.
And it doesn't really matter
if we are here or there,
For we are all a part of God
and God is everywhere,
And each time you do a kindness,
God smiles and blesses you,
For in serving those around us
we serve and please Him, too.

Somebody Cares
Somebody cares and always will,
The world forgets but God loves you still,
You cannot go beyond His love
No matter what you're guilty of,
For God forgives until the end,
He is your faithful, loyal friend,
And though you try to hide your face
There is no shelter any place
That can escape His watchful eye,
For on the earth and in the sky
He's ever-present and always there
To take you in His tender care
And bind the wounds and mend the breaks
When all the world around forsakes.
Somebody cares and loves you still
And God is the Someone who always will.

Blessed Assurance
Perfect submission,
perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now
burst on my sight;
Angels descending
bring from above
Echoes of mercy,
whispers of love.

Help Yourself to Happiness
Everybody, everywhere
seeks happiness, it's true,
But finding it and keeping it
seem difficult to do.
Difficult because we think
that happiness is found
Only in the places where
wealth and fame abound.
And so we go on searching
in palaces of pleasure
Seeking recognition
and monetary treasure,
Unaware that happiness
is just a state of mind
Within the reach of everyone
who takes time to be kind.
For in making others happy
we will be happy, too.
For the happiness you give away
returns to shine on you.

A Tribute to the Patron Saint of Love
Where there is love the heart is light,
Where there is love the day is bright,
Where there is love there is a song
To help when things are going wrong,
Where there is love there is a smile
To make all things seem more worthwhile,
Where there is love there's quiet peace,
A tranquil place where turmoils cease--
Love changes darkness into light
And makes the heart take "wingless flight"--
Oh, blest are they who walk in love,
They also walk with God above--
For God is love and through love alone
Man finds the joy that the saints have known.

Thank God for Little Things
Thank You, God, for little things
that often come our way--
The things we take for granted
but don't mention when we pray--
The unexpected courtesy,
the thoughtful, kindly deed--
A hand reached out to help us
in the time of sudden need--
Oh, make us more aware, dear God,
of little daily graces
That come to us with "sweet surprise"
from never-dreamed-of places.

Footprints
One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along a beach
with the Lord. Across the sky flashed
scenes from his life. For each scene,
he noticed two sets of footprints
in the sand; one belonged to him and the
other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life
flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints
in the sand. He noticed that
many times along the path of his life there was
only one set of footprints. He also
noticed that if happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life…
This really bothered him and he questioned
the Lord about it. “Lord you said that
once I decided to follow you,
you‘d walk with me all the way. But I have
noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life, there is only one
set of footprints. I don’t understand
why when I needed you the most
you would leave me.”
The Lord replied, “My precious, precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trails and suffering, when
you see only one set of footprints it was then
that I carried you.”
